Zita McKenna

The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital in Summerside on August 13, 2018 of Zita McKenna of Summerside, aged 95 years. Born in Kinkora on November 22, 1922.   Daughter of Stephen and Zeta Smith (Johnston) and wife of the Late Cedric McKenna.  Children Thomas Austin (deceased), Janet (Charles) Wood, Middleton, PE; Lloyd (Judy) McKenna, Hamilton, ON; Jerry (Marilyn) McKenna, Miramichi, NB; Stephen (Shirley) McKenna, Clyde River, PE and by a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Also survived by sister Patricia (Lloyd-deceased) Sherry.  Pre-deceased by brothers Tommy (Hilda) Johnston; Katie (Ben) Peters;  Joe Johnston;  Lawrence (Loretta) Johnston; George (Helen) Johnston; Amy Johnston.  Pre-deceased by brother and sisters in law Doris (George) Hughes;  Father Thomas McKenna;  Myrtle (Tommy) Keough; Everett (Doris) McKenna.  Resting at the Lawless Funeral Home in Kinkora.  Visitation on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 5-8pm.  Funeral Service will be held at St Peters Church, Seven Mile Bay on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:30am.  Internment will take place at the church cemetery. Please refrain from wearing all scents. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Peters Cemetery Fund.
