The death occurred peacefully at PCH on January 25, 2023 of Charles Palmer Dawson of Albany aged 87 years. Beloved husband of Millie (Murphy). Dear father of Charlene; Rick (deceased), Steve (Karen), Danny (Teresa), Heather (Brian) MacDonald and Greg (Lynn). As well as 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is fondly remembered by in-laws, Bertha (Albert) McEachern; Florence (the late Bill) Ross; Charlie (the late Georgina) Monaghan and Art Murphy and his cousin, Sylvia Baglole. Predeceased by his parents, Merrill & Millie, siblings and their spouses Kathleen Norden (George); Doris (Sterling) Noonan; Shirley (Floyd) Bumbee and a brother, Donnie, in infancy; by his in-laws, Charlie (Teresa) Murphy; Leo (Shirley) Murphy; Edna (Russ) Quibell; Harold Murphy; Albert Murphy and Fr. Lou Murphy. Funeral arrangements with Lawless Funeral Home. No visitation by personal request. Funeral will be held at St. Peter’s Church in Seven Mile Bay on Wednesday, February 1 at 10:30 a.m with burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Charlie was a simple man who ran his own business for most of his life, had many friends, loved a good joke and to travel with special lady, Millie.
