"Verna" Marie Hurley (nee Rogers) It is with our love we share the passing of our loved one, Verna Marie Hurley (nee Rogers) of Charlottetown, aged 62 years at Provincial Palliative Care Centre, October 14, 2023 with her daughter Courtney and son Coleman by her side.
Survived by daughter Courtney Sears (Jason) of Riverview NB, and son Coleman of Charlottetown, their father Garth Hurley, and adored Nan to Layla Hoeg.
Born in Summerside, April 1, 1961. Dear daughter of the late Haviland and Doris (McGaughey) Rogers and daughter-in-law to the late Edmund and Jean Hurley. Sister of Lowell (Anna), Borden-Carleton; Lynn Hughes (Edwin), Shamrock; Lorraine Lowther (Dennis), Cape Traverse; Leonard (Janet), Cornwall; Alanna Wilkins (Jack), Saint John NB; Allison (Jennifer), Stratford; Paul (Carrie), Bedeque; Danny (Dawn Gradwell), North Tryon; and Leanne, Kinkora and sister-in-law to Nora Rogers, Charlottetown; Velma Rogers, Summerside; Art MacDonald, Shamrock, and Bill Hurley (Rowena Mcdonald), Mississauga ON. Adored aunt to numerous nieces & nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers James, Charles, Alan and sister Darlene MacDonald, and sister-in-law Coleen Rogers.
Visitation at Lawless Funeral Home, 21 Somerset St., Kinkora on Tuesday, October 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Seven Mile Bay on Wednesday, October 18 at 11 a.m. Interment in church cemetery at a later date.
