Parnell Ernest Grant

Peacefully, on February 19 and surrounded by what he treasured most, his wife and kids, Parnell Ernest Grant, Cornwall PE, finished his earthly journey to begin his eternal one.  Originally from Borden, PE, aged 76, Dad, along with his bride of 54 years, Beverly(Sherry), had six kids.  Leanne (Stephen) Perry, Lori (Shane) Noonan, Brady (Jodi), Ryan, Chad (Natalie), and Amanda Tachauer. Grampy to 20 grandkids, Scott, Kyle, Chris (Jacayla), Erica, Patrick (Eva), Brett, Brandon, Kolbe (Tammie), Isabella, Jaden, Elias, Xavier, Peter, Lucan, Ethan, Leo, Colin, Moira, Liam and Nathan  . Step grandson Russell.  Great Grampy to Pyper, Gabriel and Daniel and step grandsons Jackson and Axl.Predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Elizabeth (Condon), brothers Kevin and Ted, sisters-in-law Rowena and Rita and brother-in-law Rudy.  He is brother to surviving sisters Coreen (Mike) Conroy and Maribeth (Rich) Osgood.  Brother-in-law to Elaine Grant (MacDonald), Earl (Elaine) Smith, Audrey (Ricky) Gallant, Leigh (Marilee) Sherry, Gloria (Alan) Paynter, Paula (Philip) MacDonald.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Dad devoted his life to his family and his faith and he taught us the importance of both.  Sunday suppers, sporting events, Mass and sacraments, the occasional (begrudgingly) musical or play.  Even the loving way he would tease everyone, which he got back one hundred fold from his grandkids, Dad showed us what mattered most.  Dad’s constant motto was, "there’s a right way and a wrong way to do everything." Well Dad, you did life right!  Thanks for your example, we love you.  Eternal rest grant unto thee!  Viewing will be at Lawless Funeral Home in Kinkora, Friday, February 23 from 4-7. Funeral Mass at St Francis of Assisi in Cornwall on Saturday, February 24, at 11am.  Donations would be greatly appreciated to Island Pregnancy Center or St. Francis of Assisi Parish.  Remains entrusted to Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora.
